The National Housing Trust (NHT) and Scotiabank have joined as the newest partners under the External Financing Mortgage Programme (EFMP). The partnership was recognised with a signing ceremony on Tuesday July 18, 2023, at the NHT's Park Boulevard Corporate Office in St. Andrew.

NHT Managing Director, Mr. Martin Miller and Scotiabank's team of Executive Vice President, Retail and Small Business Banking, Perrin Gayle and Director Sales Support Unit, Avril Leonce (pictured below and attached) inked the agreement marking the commitment of partnership between the two entities.

The National Housing Trust, NHT wishes to advise customers that starting January 2023, the NHT will begin accepting applications for a refund of contributions made in 2015. Eligible contributors are being reminded that applications for contribution refund MUST be made online. Customers may apply for their refund  via our website; www.nht.gov.jm, and also via our mobile app, 'NHT Online', which is available in both the Google Play Store and the App Store (for iOS users).

SSL has in the past formed part of a pool of brokerage institutions used by the NHT to purchase shares/stocks on the Equity Market.

The NHT therefore has a brokerage account, which reflects units purchased by SSL on behalf of the NHT in three securities listed on the Jamaica Stock Exchange, JSE.

Residents of the Ruthven Towers development and National Housing Trust, NHT staff joined efforts on Labour Day, May 23, 2023 at the Women's Centre of Jamaica Foundation on Trafalgar Road in St. Andrew. The group of approximately 50 volunteers participated in several activities including tilling the soil for a vegetable garden as well as giving the nursery at the facility a much needed facelift with a fresh coat of paint.
