The NHT requires the services of a registered engineering firm to provide pre- and post-contract mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) consultancy services to facilitate the modernization, optimization and self-sufficiency of the building systems at the NHT’s Unit Trust Building.
LOCATION
The property is located at 50 Knutsford Boulevard, Kingston 5, St. Andrew.
SCOPE OF SERVICES:
The successful Consultant will be required to:
- Conduct on-site reconnaissance and provide a detailed report of existing site conditions;
- Undertake pre-existing layout review, and provide a Technical Review Report;
- Prepare conceptual and schematic designs;
- Undertake design development, prepare electrical utility submission(s) and final design drawings;
- Obtain all relevant agency approvals, including making the needed arrangements for inspections;
- Prepare the pre-tender estimate, tender, and contract documents to facilitate the engagement of a supplier to supply and install the HVAC system;
- Evaluate bids received and submit a tender evaluation report to the NHT;
- Provide post-contract services to administer the contract for the installation, commissioning, and handover of the system;
- Undertake post-occupancy evaluation;
- Prepare final accounts and close the contract; and,
- Prepare Maintenance Contract
ELIGIBILITY TO TENDER
Tenderers must provide:
- Evidence of tax compliance
- Evidence that the firm and lead mechanical engineer are registered with the Professional Engineering Registration Board (PERB).

RETURN OF TENDERS
- Proposals must be submitted electronically via the GoJ’s e-procurement website at https://www.gojep.gov.jm, no later than 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 5, 2026.
- Proposals will be opened online via the e-procurement website at https://www.gojep.gov.jm on the same day, immediately following the proposal submission deadline.
