Will interest be charged on my voluntary contribution arrears?
Voluntary contributors will not be charged interest on contribution principal arrears, i.e., contributions due since voluntary registration but not yet paid.

You will be contacted within 3 working days following the submission of your application.
Does applying for my refund affect my ability to get a loan from NHT?
A contributor who has already received contributions refund from the NHT remains eligible for a loan benefit, once contributions payments are current.
Who qualifies for a Regular Refund?
All contributors qualify for a Regular Refund. A Regular Refund of each year’s contribution is paid out in the eighth year after the contribution was made.
Who qualifies for a Special Refund?
Persons who qualify for a Special Refund are :
Retirees
Invalidity pensioners
Migrating expatriates
Agents of deceased contributors
A Special Refund gives you access at one time, to all the contributions you have made to the Trust.
If my mortgage is in arrears, public auction, private treaty or litigation, can I make payments using the online facility?
No, payments must be made at the NHT cashier or to the external attorney who is handling the case on NHT's behalf.
How will the refund be made?
All refunds will be credited to the credit card used during the transaction.
How long will it take to get a refund, if approved?
Turnaround time for refund is 15 days
Can I apply for a refund of a credit card payment?
Customers may apply for a refund of a credit card payment, however the Trust DOES NOT refund credit card payments made via NHT Online. Guided by the Electronic Transactions Act (2007) exceptions are that at our discretion we may make refunds to the customer, in instances where a Glitch occurred during transaction or an erroneous over payment was made.
